Northern Colorado Potters’ Guild and Studio is a non-profit organization, which was opened to further the appreciation of art and ceramics for the members and the northern Colorado area.
The guild offers studio space, classes and workshops. The guild sells clay and supplies related to class or workshops to its members and students. Starting 1/08, clay will be available for sale to the public on Saturdays, from 10am to 2pm at the studio.
Presently we have one high fire gas kiln, two electric kilns and raku kiln. We have one throwing area with eight wheels, a handbuilding classroom, spray booth, glazing area and a kitchen/lounge area. You have available the use of a slab roller, extruder and glazes for your convenience.
There is a one-time membership fee of $200 and monthly dues of $45 or $32 dependent upon the type of membership you select. (See the Membership Options and Prices page). We also offer additional studio space, shelves and lockers. All firing and material costs are extra. Incoming members are expected to be able to work independently and are probationary for 6 months. All members are expected to contribute time and labor toward the functioning of the Guild.
There will be up to two (2) sales a year for members with a portion of the proceeds going to the Guild’s capital fund. Members are expected to help with these events and to participate if possible. Members are also expected to participate on a committee, or serve as a committee chairman if possible. Each member will also work one Saturday a year, 10am to 2pm, for Studio Open Hours.
