CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

The Northern Colorado Potters’ Guild offers adult throwing classes for all skill levels. On occasion, we have hand-building, teen & children’s classes, and workshops. Students must be 18 years or older to register for our adult throwing classes.

Beginning students will learn fundamentals, such as centering, throwing, trimming & glazing.

Intermediate/Advanced students will continue to develop their acquired skills and begin to refine their work. Techniques may include such things as creating lidded forms, altering forms, and more.

Classes include one 25 lb bag of clay and all glaze/firing charges. Non-guild members are allowed 5 hours of lab time per week. A guild member must be present while non-members are working at the guild. Non-members should call prior to coming to the guild to ensure a guild member will be there during the hours they wish to work. Please check the website for the class and workshop schedules in order not to interfere with scheduled classes and/or workshops.

Guild members shall pay for their clay & firings under normal procedures.

Class Payment & Cancellation Policy:

• Payment is expected at the time of registration.
• A full refund, less a $10 processing fee, will be given if a student cancels prior to the start of class.
• A 75% refund will be given if a student cancels after the first class, but prior to the second class.
• After the 2nd week, no refunds will be given.
• Class minimum – 3 students
• Class maximum – 9 students
